Getting it in
Peace and Love to all,
As usual I've been hard at work on a number of different projects. Just this week alone I finished two websites, a new photo shoot, did some artist consulting, negotiated some new performances, a few interviews and hecka other stuff. I'm so thankful for all the work. Some of y'all may know I'm a huge fan of Sherlock Holmes. He was a genius, but when he was in between cases he would fall into a deep depression because his mind wasn't stimulated. Similarly the work I do stimulates me and when there is no work I find myself off balance, looking for the next challenge. I love to put the work in. Nowadays I'm networking and constantly learning new things. It's beautiful. When it's all ready and done you better believe I'm sharing it with you. Get ready.

Just the beginning
Peace and Love to all,
I hope y'all ready. There is a lot on the upcoming schedule for me. I'm excited about it because so much of it is new. I love the music, but now I find myself getting deeper in the business side of things, as well as the technical side of things. I'm in the studio right now engineering some recording sessions for a dope Latina poet I know. Adriana La Patriota. Peep her out if you ain't up on her.
I'm getting ready to start my new promo campaign for my mixtape in preparation for the release of my 3rd studio album dropping in Sept. As Jay-Z said, "A CEO's mind that marketing plan was me." It's time for me to get back to work.

Year In The Life Of Ty Release
Peace and Love to all,
Today was incredible. I'm very thankful for all those that helped to make the release of my mixtape a success. Thanks goes out to my manager Mya Marshall, my good friend and business partner March the 5th, onBeats for making the piece sound nice, Baraka Blue for the encouragement and support, and everyone that featured on the album-- Five Eighty, Mrs.Latifah, Khalil Ismail, and Farid Al Hadi.
I want to thank everyone who downloaded the album. This is a very personal work for me. What you are hearing when you listen to this album is my struggle over the past year to make sense out of what life presented me. Music was an essential part of finding and maintaining my balance during this time. After the major changes in my life, I was able to find myself again in my faith and my music. I rediscovered my deep love for music, and I think it is evident in the songs that you listen to from this album.
This is only the beginning. I have so much music inside of me, and it's about time to let it out. I hope y'all are ready.

Building

It's been a busy few weeks. Just to let y'all know, I finished two albums in the last month. One is a group project with March the 5th, and the other is a solo project with my main man Onbeats. Both projects are going to be incredible. I'm really proud of what we were able to come up with.
I have a few videos in the works and plenty other projects on the table. Be on the lookout for my T-shirt line. New website and product will be available soon.
Year In The Life of Ty mixtape is slated for a May 19th release. I've been wanting to have something released on Malcolm's Bday for a long time. Now I finally get my chance.

Feeling good!
Peace y'all,
Man I'm feeling good. It's been a long few weeks. Filled with music, family, friends, problems, workouts, tests and quizzes. It's been wild. Add to that I've been averaging about 10 to 15 hours a week. I crash hard on the weekends. But I made it through. I made it through. This is my first evening off in a long time. I'm going to kick back enjoy my house and chill.
I'll holla.

Late night sessions
Peace y'all,
Last two nights I've been up extra late getting the music out. I love inspiration, and I've been in a zone for a little more than a year now. I hope this continues for the rest of my creative life. Got to stay inspired. Anyway, I wrote and recorded some new stuff that I really excited about. I'm working on a few new projects right now. I'll have samples for y'all real soon. Until then, stay tuned.

Boy o Boy, 2009 was a year for me. I'm not even about to go back through all that happened. I have a mixtape dropping real soon which will give many people an insider's perspective on 2009 for me. We all know what they say, "what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger". I'm so blessed and so thankful to be alive and well. I'm feeling good and I'm excited about everything. Life is so new, and there is so much beauty in the unknown.
